Youth Ambassador Program

The Youth Ambassador Program empowers student-athletes to become leaders in their communities. Ambassadors serve as the voice of YSSI, helping shape programs, promote equity, and inspire peers through sports and STEM. This initiative gives young leaders hands-on experience in advocacy, event planning, and mentorship—
preparing them to drive change both locally and globally.

Students who complete the Youth Ambassador Program demonstrate:

• Increased confidence in public and peer-facing settings
• Stronger communication and leadership skills
• Clearer articulation of goals, interests, and future pathways
• Greater sense of responsibility and community impact

The program operates in cohort-based formats with seasonal or year-long options depending on site needs. Youth Ambassadors receive ongoing guidance from YSSI staff and are recognized through certificates, service hours, and public acknowledgment of their leadership.

Apply to be a YSSI Youth Ambassador

The YSSI Youth Ambassador Program is for students who want more than participation. It is an opportunity to represent learning, leadership, and community impact while building confidence, communication skills, and professional identity.
You do not need prior leadership experience to apply. What matters most is curiosity, reliability, and a willingness to grow. Youth Ambassadors are supported through training, mentorship, and real responsibility in programs, events, and community spaces.

Ambassadors gain experience they can include on applications and resumes, develop skills that support college and career readiness, and contribute meaningfully to their community.
